Dr Luca Fiorani

Dr. Luca Fiorani obtained a degree in physics from the University of Padua (Italy) and a PhD in laser remote sensing from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland). He earned also the university diploma of Laser Safety Officer and performs this assignment for his Division at ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development). Dr. Fiorani was PI of projects in laser monitoring of atmosphere and ocean. He represents the Italian Government at PAME (Protection of the Arctic Marine Environment), a working group of the Arctic Council. Dr. Fiorani is adjunct professor of general physics, laser spectroscopy, physics didactics and climate physics. He tutored 16 thesis, 11 international fellowships and 3 postdocs. Dr. Fiorani has published 77 peer-reviewed papers and nearly 300 other publications. Since 2008 he is president of the ecological initiative EcoOne.
